    And here’s day three of our site-building series.

    Not sure if this would work — 25% for the left sidebar and 75% for the main content.

    I’m also testing an alternate position of the sidebar so that the main content would be the focus on the right side.

    Currently using the Hallo app; I installed it in the Chikka UI team’s HTC One X Android phone.

    They say it’s like texting but with your voice.

  • Site-building: Day Two

    Day Two
    Adding some HTML5 Boilerplate CSS.

     

    I’m thinking maybe I could mimic the look of a book — with left and right pages. Then the content should not exceed the vertical area of the usual desktop viewport. But that sound like “form over function”.

    Will it work that I build this site without any blueprint? I guess not.

    We need at least a sketch!

    Just the right luck, I chanced upon Toolbox theme in WordPress. It doesn’t have any clothing if it were human. I am building this site from the ground up. Well, not really because this theme, at least, has a style.css in it.

    I’ll be documenting the changes thru screenshots and I will post it in each entry.

  • Adobe Creative Cloud

    We could try going Adobe Creative Cloud instead of buying CS6 and licenses.

    This one would cost $49.99 a month for a 1-year plan. That’s roughly P30,000 a year per account compared to P111,800 CS6 Master Collection which will be superseded by CS7(?) after a year.

    It’s like Master Collection but with a yearly fee and cloud storage.

    Working from home? Start your day by taking a bath and dressing up. Briefs, pants, and a nice comfy shirt. And don’t forget to wear your bracelet or watch or anything you wear when going out that door.

    This will definitely boost up your productivity and you will feel bad you dressed up for nothing (if you only slacked around).

    Chikka version 6 is currently under development. The best way to describe its being is taking your smartphone and putting it in front of your desktop computer (that’s how Mikey demoed it). Think of it as your phone inside your desktop computer or tablet.

    It shows the Message Inbox instantly with your text and voice messages. Yes, you can send real-time voice messages thru Chikka. There’s also Contacts — just like your regular smartphone or mobile phone.
